The increase is largely driven by a significant jump in food prices. Year-on-Year inflation for the Food Group climbed to 5.9% in May from 2.9% in April, indicating growing cost pressures on essential items. Meanwhile, the Non-Food Group showed a slight improvement, with inflation recorded at -3.4%, compared to -3.7% the previous month.
